YEREVAN. – Armenian-Kuwaiti cooperation is developing with dynamism in recent years.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stated the above-said at his talk Wednesday with the Minister of Awqaf (religious properties) and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait, Minister of Justice Yaqoub Abd-Almohsen Al-Sane’a, who is visiting Armenia.  

The PM lauded the good neighborly relations with Kuwait. In his words, shared history is at the foundation of Armenia’s and the Armenian people’s friendship relations with the Arab world. Also, Abrahamyan welcomed the Kuwaiti minister’s visit to Armenia, and noted that high-level mutual visits contribute to the strengthening of bilateral ties.

Al-Sane’a, for his part, conveyed to Hovik Abrahamyan the warm greetings and good wishes by the emir and the prime minister of Kuwait. He stressed that strong relationships are formed between the two countries and there is a mutual will to expand these ties. In addition, he expressed satisfaction with the course of cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

In the ensuing talk, the interlocutors discussed the avenues for further intensifying Armenian-Kuwaiti ties. 

PM Abrahamyan thanked the Kuwaiti authorities for their respectful attitude toward the local Armenian community. Yaqoub Abd-Almohsen Al-Sane’a, in turn, highly appreciated the Kuwaiti Armenian community’s part in the development of Kuwait and strengthening of Armenian-Kuwaiti friendship. 

Hovik Abrahamyan, for his part, reaffirmed the readiness to strengthen relations between the two peoples and develop collaboration between the two countries.
