YEREVAN. – Exports from Armenia to China have grown as a result of an increase in ore exports. 

Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia, Hovhannes Hovsepyan, noted the aforesaid at his talk Wednesday with Chinese Ambassador Tian Erlong.

SRC informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Hovsepyan underscored the priority of raising the level of Armenia’s investment appeal for Chinese entrepreneurs.

Ambassador Tian, for his part, welcomed the policy adopted by the newly appointed SRC chief, stressed the constructive nature of political relations between the two countries, and highlighted the need to create conditions also for closer economic partnership.

In addition, the interlocutors reflected on the ongoing program of modernizing Armenia’s customs inspection technology and equipment, and which is implemented with the loans provided by the Export-Import (Exim) Bank of China.

Furthermore, the parties expressed readiness to continue the technical support to improve the customs and tax work within the framework of cooperation between Armenia and China.
