This is Turkey, it’s not your country where you can move freely, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said addressing the foreign consuls.
Erdoğan was concerned about the fact that quite a large number of consuls have voiced their support for journalists Can Dündar and Erdem Gül, who revealed facts on arms deliveries to Syrian terrorists on behalf of Turkey, Turkish Nokta newspaper reports.
During one of the events, the Turkish president slammed the consuls, noting: “Consuls in Istanbul attend the trial of these journalists. Who are you? What are you doing there? This is not your country, this is Turkey! You can freely move only in the territory of your consulates, but all your other actions need a permit,” Erdoğan said.
