The improvement of Syrian crisis will by itself have an impact on the situation in Karabakh, Russian political analyst Alexander Skakov told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

Firstly, according to the analyst, this would bring about an improvement of relations between Russia and the U.S., which are the OSCE Minsk Group members. “Secondly, the improvement of Syrian crisis will inevitably result in the improvement of relations between Russia and Turkey. This is also important since Turkey can now try to fish in troubled waters, that is, taking advantage of the worsening of relations with Russia, it can, for instance, influence Azerbaijan in order to achieve certain provocative actions from Baku in solving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” Skakov said.

And, finally, the Syrian crisis improvement will overall create a better climate in this region of the world.  “The less conflicts there are, the less any side to another conflict will want to decide it through military ways,” the analyst concluded.
