YEREVAN. – The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) specifies a single registration of trademarks.

The respective draft of this EAEU interstate agreement has been approved at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.

Accordingly, the trademark registration applications can be submitted to the patent office of any EAEU member country.

Once the application is publicized, the patent agencies of the other EAEU countries will examine the trademarks, and the respective decision will be made on the basis of these inspections.

The applicant shall pay the registration fee in the host country.

The EAEU comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
