President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the US, on Wednesday visited the Armenian St. Jacob (Sourp Hagop) Church in the State of Massachusetts.

Sargsyan laid a wreath to and paid tribute at the churchyard monument, which perpetuates the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.

Later, the President met with representatives of the Armenian community of the US East Coast, during which he also delivered an address.

“We will not hesitate to take equivalent measures to restrain a possible aggression by the adversary,” the Armenian President specifically noted in his remarks.

At the end of the talk, Serzh Sargsyan awarded several local Armenian community members with the high state award, and encouraged some others with certificates of appreciation.
