YEREVAN. - Immediately after suppressing the military actions launched by Azerbaijan against Karabakh on April 2-3, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian spoke by phone with a number of foreign colleagues, briefing them on the situation on the Azerbaijani-Karabakh Line of Contact.

The Armenian FM discussed the latest developments with Russian FM Sergey Lavrov, French FM Jean-Marc Ayrault, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland, CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov, James Warlick,  Pierre Andrieu, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk, as well as EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Herbert Salber.

The Armenian ambassadors abroad and Armenian representatives in international organizations regularly brief the authorities of the countries of their accreditation and the leadership of international organizations on the developments.

Dozens of countries and international organizations have condemned the resumption of military actions and urged to immediately halt fire, stressing that there is no alternative to the exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict.
