YEREVAN. - The families of the soldiers who were killed and wounded as a result of the Azerbaijani aggression on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces, are in the center of attention.
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said in the parliament today, responding to the question of the secretary of Armenian National Congress (ANC) parliamentary faction Aram Manukyan on whether state-level support is provided to the families of the dead and wounded.
According to Ohanyan, the Defense Ministry is doing its best in the framework of law to provide medical assistance to the wounded, and ensure their treatment abroad if necessary. As to the families of the dead, the Armenian and Karabakh Defense Ministries, as well as beneficiaries are providing necessary financial support to them.
Ohanyan also noted that in 2015 it was decided to double the amount of support provided to the families of the wounded and killed servicemen.
