STEPANAKERT. - Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan today received OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Pierre Andrieu (France) and James Warlick (U.S.), as well as personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The meeting addressed issues related to the large-scale military operations launched by Azerbaijan against Karabakh, Central Information Department of Karabakh President’s Office reports.
President Sahakyan called the treacherous aggression of Azerbaijani as one of the greatest perils to stability and peace in the South Caucasus and the neighboring regions, qualifying it as a serious challenge to the civilized world too.
Sahakyan stressed that the Karabakh Defense Army averts and will continue to rebuff any encroachments on the republic’s independence, sovereignty and security.
The President also added that he expects from the OSCE Minsk Group tough and targeted assessments and measures against the destructive policy of Azerbaijan.
