The Syrian Kurdish militia confirmed that a gas attack was carried out in the city of Aleppo, accusing Islamist militants. That fact will be reported to the ceasefire monitoring centers,  RIA Novosti  reported.

The Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) have confirmed the reports  that a gas attack was carried out in in Sheikh Maqsood , Aleppo, blaming it on Islamist militants acting under the protection of Turkey. Dozens of civilians were influenced by the poisoning action.

Official representative of Syrian Kurds Reyzan Hedu told Sputnik agency that some of victims are in critical condition and they were taken to local hospital of the Red Crescent organizations. One of the doctors of hospital, where victims were taken, said that the patients have all symptoms of chlorine poisoning .

The militant group “Jaish al-Islam” which signed an agreement on cessation of hostilities in March admitted the use of chemical weapon.  The evening of April 7, the Defence Ministry reported that the group that previously considered themselves the opposition, came under the command of “Jaish al-Islam” .
