National Assembly (NA) Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov on Friday had a working discussion, in the Polish city of Poznań, with Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives of the NA of Belarus, Viktor Guminsky, who is also Deputy Chairperson of the Armenia-Belarus Cooperation Commission.
They discussed the avenues for the development interparliamentary cooperation, and the organizing of joint activities within international parliamentary organizations.
Also, Sharmazanov provided his Belarusian colleague details on the military aggression which Azerbaijan unleashed against Nagorno-Karabakh in early April, and on the respective criminal inroads by the Azerbaijani authorities and the resultant consequences.
“The positions of CSTO [i.e. Collective Security Treaty Organization] member states shall not contradict the official CSTO position in any way, which, unfortunately, is observed in recent days, in several [CSTO] countries,” he added in this regard.
The interlocutors also conferred on the future activities of the Armenian and the Belarusian NAs’ interparliamentary commission on cooperation.
