More than 200 people have been killed as a result of attack of fighters from South Sudan in Western Ethiopia. Another 75 were injured, The Guardian reported.

 The attackers also abducted 108 children. At the moment the country's armed forces carried out a search for the terrorists who have committed massacre.

The attack occurred near the town of Gambella, which is 50 kilometers from the border with South Sudan. This region is home to about 284 thousand of refugees fleeing South Sudan at the beginning of the civil war, Lenta reported.

Clashes in South Sudan that were based on political and interethnic violence began in mid-December 2013. The conflict involves ethnic groups, the Dinka and Nuer. President Salva Kiir, representative of Dinka, then declared that in the country there was a coup attempt, and accused the Vice-President Rijeka Mashara of the organization.

South Sudan is the youngest country in the world. Its independence was declared in July 2011 by a referendum. The vote put an end to the civil war between the government and the people's liberation movement that lasted 22 years.
