Ataul Rahman Saleem, deputy head of Kabul's High Peace Council stated that the armistice agreement between the authorities of Afghanistan and the Islamic party can be reached in the next few days, RIA Novosti reported quoting AFP.

Saleem declared that the agreement is expected to be reached on Sunday after two years of negotiations.

The representative of the group of negotiators Amin Karim also expected President Ashraf Ghani to approve the final version of the agreement on the same day, he thought that it should become a political breakthrough after 15 years of unsuccessful attempts to end the war with Taliban.

The Islamic Party of Afghanistan  is a political party founded in 1976 by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar  and it represents the interests of the Pushtuns.. The party militants claimed responsibility for the attacks in 2012-2013.

The US considers party to be extremist party for its anti-American violent ideology and support for the sharia law.
