The EgyptAir airline first denied the reports on A320 aircraft fragments found near the Greek island Karpathos, and then confirmed them. The recent information posted on EgyptAir website confirmed that fragments of the airplane flying Paris to Cairo were found.

The report says that the Egyptian Foreign Ministry informed to the Ministry of Civil Aviation that the fragments of the missing aircraft EgyptAir were found near Karpathos island ."Family members of passengers and crew have been already informed and we extend our deepest sympathies to those affected," says the report.

The EgyptAir also noted that the investigation team continues searching for  missing aircraft parts . The EgyptAir passenger plane, flying from Paris to Cairo, disappeared from the radar screens in the morning of 19 May,  in the Egyptian airspace . There were 66 passengers and crew members on board.

Some experts believe that the cause of the disaster could have been terrorism. The Egyptian authorities announced that none of the versions is ruled out.
