British police officers created sand figure of a naked woman who was murdered on the beach town of Perranporth. They won the competition of amateur sculptures, Metro writes.
According to the edition, after the police published a picture of the figure winning the first prize on Twitter of its branches, the Internet users criticized the winners. The police officers were accused of lack of taste and stereotypic thinking, Lenta reported.
The member of the City Council of the next Falmouth Hanna Toms has also joined the critics. They considered that such sculpture made in the coastal city can remind some locals of their relatives who have drowned.
