At least nine people were killed in the northern part of Pakistan due to a strong storm , reports RIA Novosti, citing local media. On June 1 there began a thunderstorm and a wind at a speed of more than 100 km per hour in the Pakistani capital Islamabad and in a nearby town Ravalpindium. Most of the victims died due to the collapse of buildings or uprooted trees.

 In addition, due to the bad weather Benazir Bkhutoy International Airport delayed all flights. The arriving aircrafts were forced to land in Lahore. There was also a storm Hayber Pakhtunkhva province.
