The French airline Air France “lost” ammunition of the German armed forces which was supposed to be delivered to Mali, the Sunday newspaper Welt am Sonntag.

The German military personnel took off from Berlin at the end of May, to join the mission of the Bundeswehr. The flight was operated by Air France. Soldiers registered an ammunition box as oversized baggage. After arrival at the destination the freight was not found.

The airline failed to give ammunition which the Bundeswehr, in accordance with all instructions, passed to Air France, the representative of the German armed forces said.

According to him, the military personnel male a report to the Berlin police.  Now the sides have two versions: either the ammunition has been sold, or has been incorrectly loaded into another plane, TASS reported.
