Withdrawing from CIS Georgia did right, as it is pointless to constitute a part of “artificial and fake” structure, that should not be taken seriously, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Chairman of National Self-Determination Union stated August 29 press conference.
“CIS is a stricture of Russia’s imperialistic interests, emphasizing its dominance in the region while having no moral and political potential”, Hayrikyan said.
He also touched upon the recent issues on Armenian-Georgian border, noting these incidents were predictable, due to the Russian-Georgian conflict amid the Armenian-Russian friendly relations. “One should have expected that Georgians would be aggressive towards Armenia. Luckily, they still control themselves”.
According to him the problems also arose as the issues with borders are not clarified yet. Demarcation of Armenian-Georgian border is on the agenda and talks on this issue pending.
