The police officer shot a 73-year-old woman participating in a citizen police academy in central Florida.

As Washington Post reported, the academy in historic city of Punta Gorda was a two-hour course intended to give an intimate look at what makes the department work. The police confirmed the information noting that the policeman is suspended from fulfillment of duties, however did not provide the circumstances of the accident.

According to the edition, the 73-year-old woman was playing the victim in the scenario, and the officer was playing the “bad guy.” The officer fired several times at the woman.
