Several hundred students from the University of Texas in Austin have organized a protest against the new law that allows students to bring small arms to campus, reports the BBC Russian Service. The organizers of the protest passed 4.5 million sex toys banned in the university to the participants of the protest. According to participants the banned sex toys are of less danger for students than the allowed arms. As one of the organizers of the campaign says, students need to perform their assignments and not to think if there is a gun in the pocket of one of their classmates.

At the same time, the supporters of arms claim that the new rules will make students feel more secure. The authorities of Texas accepted the law on carrying arms in the educational institutions last year. It entered into force this year on August 1. After the law had entered into force, the dean of one of the faculties of Texas University resigned.
