The authorities of Egyptian city of Luxor banned flights in hot air balloons for three days after dozens of Chinese tourists were injured when their balloon crash landed, Daily Mail reported quoting AP.

The city administration has ordered to carry out an inspection of providing security measures ahead of an international festival in December.

At least 22 Chinese tourists were injured as a result of the accident in Luxor on August 30. It was difficult for the Egyptian pilots to land the hot air balloon because of poor weather conditions.

In 2013, 19 foreign tourists were killed when their hot air balloon caught fire.
