The consecration ceremony of the Armenian Holy Virgin Chapel took place in Zaporozhye city of Ukraine on Monday.

The ceremony was led by the Head of the Ukrainian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Markos Hovhannisyan, as well as the abbots of the Armenian community in Zaporozhye and Dnipropetrovsk districts Husik Nurijanyan and Hamazasp Babujyan respectively, AnalitikaUA.net reports.

Deputy Head of the Zapozhye district state administration Eduard Gugin, head of the Culture, Tourism, Nationalities and Religion Department at Zaporozhye district state administration Vladislav Moroko, as well as the representatives of the Orthodox clergy, local Armenian community, etc. attended the ceremony.

By the end of the event, a gala concert was held for the guests.
