The statue of Lenin, which was located on Red Square residential complex roof in New York's East Houston Street, has been dismantled, reports the BBC. 5.5 meter high statue was standing on the roof of the building for 22 years . The reason, according to Curbed might be the sales of the building . The source reports that Dermot Company purchased it for $ 100 million .

It is not known yet where the monument will be transported to and whether it will be installed in any place . The sculptor of the monument is Yuri Gerasimov.  The owner of the Red Square saw the statue in one of the summer houses near Moscow and transported it to America .
