The head of Egypt's state television news service was dismissed,  after the channel  had mistakenly broadcasted old interviews of the President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, reports the Associated Press.

There should have been broadcasted one interview only, that el-Sisi gave to the channel this week. However, the audience watched interviews he gave to the American network PBS last year. Ten minutes later the broadcast was interrupted. The channel manager apologized for the error. el-Sisi is currently in New York to participate in the sessions of the UN General Assembly.
