The Western alliance is ready to work with Russia to find out ways to resolve the Ukraine crisis. At the same time, they will be strictly observing principles of liberty and international law, reports the Voice of America, referring to the US Secretary of State John Kerry’s announcement.
According to him, " NATO is a defensive alliance. The Russian people, in particular, should know that despite what their leaders sometimes tell them, our alliance does not seek to weaken, contain, or divide their nation." Kerry stressed that the North Atlantic alliance and the EU member states want to cooperate with Russia, provided that Moscow also plans to solve common issues.
