German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said there is a need to continue dialogue between Russia and the U.S. on situation around Syria, RIA Novosti reported.

He added that it is wrong to believe that the Cold War has begun calling modern world more dangerous.

The relations of Russia and the United States deteriorated because of the situation in Syria. Washington has suspended bilateral cooperation with Moscow on the matter. The Russian authorities, in turn, suspended cooperation with the U.S. in the field of nuclear safety.
