One of the world's most unusual “celebrations,” World Toilet Day (WTD), is marked on November 19.
WTD is a campaign to motivate and mobilize people around the world on issues of sanitation.
November 19 was declared World Toilet Day in 2001, at an international conference in Singapore, and devoted to issues of toilets.
International community observed WTD for the first time in 2002, on November 19.
