At least eight Egyptian soldiers were killed and 12 more were injured in a car bomb attack on a checkpoint in the country's North Sinai region, BBC reported.
As army spokesperson said three attackers were killed, and the remainder fled after the Thursday evening assault. So far, none of the terrorist groups claimed responsibility for the attack.
