Scientists have proved that physically inactive boys study worse at school than active ones, Informing reports.
The specialists analyzed the data on the physical activity and performance of 153 boys from elementary school (children aged 6 to 8).
Consequently, boys who were physically active in the first form turned out to demonstrate better performance in junior school. They started reading and counting faster as compared to their peers, who led physically inactive lifestyle.
The researchers also noted that they didn’t find out such a pattern in girls.
Considering the results of the research, the scientists noted that it is important for kids and teenagers to spend more free time outdoors and have an active leisure. This will not only help them to acquire new knowledge faster but will also strengthen their organism.
