YEREVAN. – The condition of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Defense Army serviceman Garik Vardanyan still remains very critical ten days after being wounded. 

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, Spokesperson of the Minister of Defense of Armenia, on Monday told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“There is no change [in his health condition],” he added.

Vardanyan is at the intensive care unit of the Ministry of Defense Central Clinical Military Hospital, in capital city Yerevan, and in unconscious state.

Soldier Garik Vardanyan was severely wounded on December 31, 2016, as a result of the Azerbaijani armed forces’ ceasefire violation in a northeasterly direction of the Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact. Subsequently, he was helicoptered from NKR capital city Stepanakert Military Hospital to Yerevan.
