YEREVAN. – There have been no volunteer named Sofia Khachatryan in the Armenian Red Cross Society, Secretary General of the organization Anna Yeghiazaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am commenting on Azerbaijani media reports.

Azerbaijani media reported about “confidential data from ICRC” that was allegedly posted by a woman introducing herself as Sofia Khachatryan and claiming she was working as a volunteer.

The woman said she had data from “international Red Cross” hinting on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), but it is known that ICRC has no volunteers at all.

Anna Yeghiazaryan added that they can hardly have a worker who “does not know the correct name of the organization”.
