As of January 1, 2017, the national debt of Azerbaijan amounted to $6,913․2 million, and the per capita foreign debt totaled $704․7, Report informed citing the annual report by the country’s government.

The ratio of the total loans Azerbaijan received—pursuant to loan agreements—against the 2016 GDP was 32․3 percent, and the ratio of the loans that were used and considered national debt against the GDP were 20․4 percent.

In addition, as of January 1, 2016, the country’s national foreign debt amounted to $6,894․3 million, and its ratio against the GDP was 19․8 percent.

And the per capita foreign debt totaled $737․2.
