Being at the intersection of different regions and interests, our foreign policy —based on milennial hostory—stems from the fact that one's national interests should be combined with those of key partners for ensuring peace, stability and regional security.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said the aforementioned on Tuesday, speaking at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).  

He expressed conviction that such an approach is clear and acceptable for Armenia's partners.

The President also informed that literally two weeks ago Armenia and EU completed the talks on the new framework document, whose provisions reflect the volume and level of bilateral relations. ''They allow to outline the prospects for expanding our mutually beneficial cooperation, considering the obligations taken up by Armenia in other integration unions,'' he said.

Furthermore, Sargsyan added that Armenia is developing partner relations also with the US at different levels.  

''In the recent years our cooperation with the Asia-Pacific and Latin-American regions has activated. We see significant potential for the implementation of large infrastructure projects in the format of the Silk Road Economic Belt initiative, which will allow to diversify the logistical capacities not only of Armenia but also of other countries of the Eurasian Economic Union,'' he stressed.
