Spanish National Police carried out a large-scale operation, during which 48 members of the so-called “Georgian mafia” who were engaged in apartment thefts, were detained, RIA Novosti reported.
Within the operation, searches were conducted in Madrid, Getafe and Barcelona. Jewels (600 items), as well as electronics, 13,000 euros in cash, documents and tools which were used for breakings were found.
