Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is getting ready for the impending parliamentary elections with a great sense of responsibility, regardless of forecasts on elections, Secretary of Prosperous Armenia Party Aram Safaryan told NEWS.am, commenting on the Economist weekly’s report on 2012 parliamentary and 2013 presidential elections in Armenia.

“Prosperous Armenia will act independently at the parliamentary vote and will do its utmost to win the elections,” Safaryan said.

According to analysts of the Economist weekly magazine, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), led by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, will achieve the majority in the Armenian Parliament during parliamentary and presidential elections in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

As to the formulation “tension within the ruling coalition remains high,” in the report, the MP said. “There is no tension within the coalition, these are artificial rumors.”

As reported previously, the Economist Intelligence Unit published its annual report, analyzing Armenia’s domestic, foreign and economic policy.
