Recently intensive therapy care methods have been applied towards Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, MP from Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Chairman of RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan told a press conference on November 22.
According to him, the point is military exercises in Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenian President’s decision not to attend NATO Summit in Lisbon. Another evidence thereof is NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen’s statement NATO has nothing to do with Karabakh conflict resolution, he noted.
As for Azerbaijani President’s warlike statements, Davtyan said they account for deserter complexes. “Aliyev is no other than an ordinary deserter, who regularly makes bellicose statements. During the first war he did not participate in military hostilities and failed to smell gunpowder. It is this complex that makes him come forward with warmongering statements,” he stated.
The MP stressed moral standards should be established in each country, including Azerbaijan and a person who was a deserter during the war, could not hold the highest position in the country. “It is unacceptable for a president. It is not only a moral issue but a violation of legislation,” the parliamentarian underscored.
