Kazakh Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Kanat Saudabayev held a meeting with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. The sides discussed the results of the Co-Chairs’ visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs informed Mr. Saudabayev of the settlement prospects of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Co-Chairs particularly informed the OSCE Chairman-in-Office of the preparation of basic principles of settling the conflict, the Russian Co-Chair Igor Popov told journalists in Astana.
“We expressed hope that the OSCE Summit will become an important platform for further dialogue between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides,” Popov said.
The OSCE Summit is to be held in Astana on Dec 1-2. The Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents are expected to hold a meeting on the margins of the summit.
