YEREVAN. - Republic of Armenia National Assembly (RA NA) Vice President Arpine Hovhannisyan, who also heads the NA Armenia-Great Britain Friendship Group, on Thursday received British Ambassador Judith Margareth Farnworth.

Hovhannisyan stressed that Armenia attaches importance to the deepening of cooperation with the United Kingdom in bilateral and multilateral formats, the NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In the context of the development and expansion of Armenian-British state relations, the RA NA deputy speaker evaluated the role of parliamentary diplomacy.

The interlocutors touched upon the favorable cooperation with the UK embassy in Yerevan. Also, Arpine Hovhannisyan emphasized the initiatives being implemented in Armenia.

In addition, they discussed several other matters of bilateral interest.
