Giro Manoyan, Head of the Hay Dat (Armenian Cause) office, ARF Dashnaktsutyun shares the opinion that release of confidential documents on American intelligence gathering, political and military strategy by WikiLeaks was orchestrated by the U.S. administration.

“The release of confidential documents was a step against U.S., as they found themselves in a situation that would not pay so much for PR action,” he noted.

According to Manoyan, only several hundreds of 250.000 documents were published and there are many documents on Armenia among them. “The release of U.S. embassy cables in Armenia would provide more details. There are 1700 documents, of which only 400 were published. I think the material in these documents will be more interesting and we will have a clear picture,” Manoyan emphasized.

The ARF member considers the release of confidential documents did not cause a big stir. Anyhow, everyone had a notion of the things: “For instance, U.S.’s attitude towards Iran was clear to everyone.”
