A pregnant student lost her child while police took tough measures in clashes with students protesting against Turkish Premier’s meeting with rectors of universities.
According to the Turkish Posta newspaper, a 19-year-old student O.E. was taken to the hospital where it was found out that the child had died of blows.
“I told policemen not to beat me as I am pregnant but they did not listen, they were just beating me with truncheons,” she said.
Gulizar Tuncer, the Human Rights Association lawyer, confirmed that the incident took place, noting that O.E. is unable to speak.
