Famous Italian director Mario Corradi will stage Italian opera composer Giuseppe Verdi’s masterpiece “Aida” in National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Alexander Spendiaryan, Yerevan.

How do you think the potential of the Armenian opera matches with your criteria?

If people work, they can do everything.

As a director, what is your approach to giving an opera charm?

To give an opera an oriental spirit. The question is not the age. Not the spirit of time of ancient Egypt, but Ancient Egypt with its fantasies is restored.

Do you think possible the implementation of your plans in Armenia taking into account potential of the Armenian opera?

Certainly, if I considered it impossible, I would not have arrived in Armenia.

When will the premiere be held?

It will be held on December 21.
