People should use their potential for the sake of the country’s development, not to beat citizens, MP from Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Vardan Bostanjyan told the reporters on Saturday, commenting on former Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan’s resignation.

“I have repeatedly stated that the law must prevail and everybody should be equal before the law. The recent events we have witnessed, is an alarm to us, officials, not to think we are allowed everything. We are also citizens of Armenia and improper conduct is unacceptable to us either,” the MP noted.

As to who will replace MP from Prosperous Armenia Party Arevik Petrosyan, who was recently appointed member of RA Constitutional Court under a presidential decree, Bostanjyan said: “We have not yet had an occasion to discuss the issue within the party. The party board will hold a session and decide who will represent PAP faction instead of Arevik Petrosyan,” the parliamentarian said. He did not rule out Armenian actor Guzh Manukyan will replace her.
