By November 2010, the RA State Employment Agency has registered 79,900 unemployed people.
Women constitute 70.1% of the unemployed, Head of the agency Sona Harutyunyan told journalists Dec. 14.
She reported a 4.6% decrease in the number of unemployed as compared with last year.
The average unemployment is 6.9% in Armenia – a 0.4% decrease as compared with last quarter.
The highest unemployment level is in the Lori region (11.1%), followed by Syunik, (10.1%), Tavush (8.7%), Shirak (9.6%), Kotayk (9.3%), and Yerevan (8.1%).
On the other hand, many vacancies are available in the Armenian regions, particularly for doctors and medical nurses.
