There is no need for early elections in Armenia, Artak Zakaryan, an MP of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), told journalists Dec. 16. There must be political reasons for early elections, which is not the case.
“No early elections will also take place for the reason that the process of making political decisions is following its normal course,” Zakaryan said. Social discontent has not reached the point that would cause some processes.
As regards the claims about forthcoming early elections by the Arenian National Congress (ANC), Zakaryan said: “Since the 2008 elections, ANC has been speaking of early elections as they have nothing else to speak of. I would like to advise the opposition camp go get ready for the next elections.”
