On December 30, the RA Government held its 51st sitting. RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan summed up this year’s achievements. He pointed out 2.6% economic growth against the planned 1.2% growth. The Premier pointed out the growth was registered amid a 14.5% decline in the agricultural sector and a 4% decline in the construction sector.
The Armenian industrial and infrastructure sectors mainly account for the growth, which enables the Government to diversify the country’s economy for 2011-2012. Post-crisis Armenian economy will be different from the pre-crisis economy, which was mainly based on construction.
