German brewery Kroambacher has supplied Germany’s Olympians with 3.500 liters of non-alcohol bee, The New York Times reported.
According to the source, the doctors recommend the Olympians to drink non-alcoholic beer after training to recuperate.
The doctor for the German Olympic ski team, Johannes Scherr noted that the beer reduces inflammation of the respiratory tract and destroys the infection.
German Olympians took 23 medals, including 11 gold.
