At today’s governmental session Economy Ministry of Armenia presented 2 important programs on tourism development and government’s assistance to small and medium business. However, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan reproached Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan, noting the programs are not complex.

According to Premier Sargsyan, National Competitiveness Foundation fully shoulders burden of tourism development which must be considered as a shortcoming.

Situation with assistance to small and medium business is even worth. About $400,000 (150 m AMD) will be allocated to the program, meanwhile other programs get million dollar funding by other ministries. Tigran Sargsyan addressed a question to the Chairman of Central Bank Arthur Javadyan about quantity of resources provided by the international programs. According to Arthur Javadyan, such funds make about $200 m.

The Economy Minister pledged to present a more comprehensive program of assistance to small and medium business in the near future but asked to confirm the submitted one to spend budgeted funds.
