Twenty-year-old Canadian Armenian violinist Lynette Israilian has won the first prize at the 2018 Canimex Canadian Music Competition, in the 19-30 age group.

She was awarded 96%, the highest of all the candidates in this age group, by the jury members, according to Horizon Weekly.

The Canadian Music Competition is a Canadian national organization working in the field of classical music with the goal of supporting and encouraging young Canadian performers.
