President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan is ready to approve death penalty if the relevant law is adopted by the parliament, Anadolu agency reported.
Erdogan said he would approve the law when it passes the parliament.
The speculations on re-introducing of death penalty came after a coup attempt in July 2016. However, Brussels stressed that the move would block negotiations on Turkey’s membership of the European Union.
