The authorities of Libya closed Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli after some rockets were fired in its direction, Al-Arabiya reported.

On Thursday, the health ministry said that at least 27 people have been killed and about 100 injured in several days of fighting between rival militias near the Libyan capital, the source noted.

In early January, members of loyal armed groups attacked the airport in Tripoli to help militants escape from the prison, located near the airport. Twenty people were killed as a result of attack.
